The Coyotes of Broomfield was a collaboration with the biologist Emily Beam, M.S and made possible by funding through NEST Studio for the Arts. Together, we created a book that takes a look at the individual coyotes living in and around Broomfield, Colorado. The goal of this project was to encourage a more holistic understanding of our relationship with these animals in order to mitigate the conflict that is common within this community. The book contains drawings of specific coyotes accompanied by Emily's writing to form a well-rounded understanding of these animals. There is also a section containing advice to the members of Broomfield that will help to reduce human/coyote conflict. It should be noted that these suggestions are specific to the Broomfield community. If you are experiencing issues with coyotes and live outside of this area, please contact your local wildlife service for recommendations. This project was created to be free and available to the public. Please feel free to download a copy below.
